Location: Gurgaon
Experience: 6 – 9 Years
Industry: B2C E-commerce / D2C / Logistics Tech / Quick Commerce
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Group Product Manager – Supply Chain & Operations to own and lead the digital systems powering our end-to-end fulfillment, warehousing, and logistics network. In this role, you will lead a team of Product Managers and partner directly with Operations, Engineering, and Business leadership to build scalable backend technology that drives operational excellence, optimizes unit economics, and accelerates order-to-delivery cycles.
Unlike consumer-facing growth roles, this position is deeply anchored in internal platform architecture, operational workflows, inventory intelligence, and supply chain automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define the long-term product vision, strategy, and execution roadmap for the Supply Chain & Operations Tech stack (Order Management Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, Inventory Intelligence, Dispatch & Delivery).
- Identify operational bottlenecks and convert complex ground-level logistics challenges into scalable software solutions.
2. Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of Product Managers owning individual sub-domains within supply chain and fulfillment.
- Establish product management best practices, key metrics frameworks, and operational governance across your team.
3. Core Platform Ownership
- Order Management System (OMS): Build and scale order routing engines, split-shipment logic, and order state machines.
- Warehouse Management System (WMS): Optimize inbound receiving, putaway, picking, packing, staging, and inventory auditing workflows to drive warehouse throughput.
- Inventory & Procurement: Build real-time inventory visibility systems, multi-location stock replenishment algorithms, and vendor integration management.
- Logistics & Dispatch:
Develop routing algorithms, middle-mile/last-mile dispatch engines, courier allocation logic, and real-time tracking platforms.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with Ground Operations, Warehouse Managers, Logistics Partners, and Category teams to build intuitive internal tools.
- Partner with Engineering and Data Science teams on system architecture, database scalability, and optimization models (e.g., route optimization, demand forecasting).
Key Operational Metrics You Will Own
- Fulfillment Speed & SLA: Order processing time, dispatch SLA, and on-time delivery (OTD) rates.
- Warehouse Efficiency: Pick/pack speed, dock-to-stock duration, and labor productivity per warehouse.
- Inventory Precision: Stock accuracy, shrinkage reduction, and wastage/spoilage rates.
- Cost Efficiency: Shipping cost per order, warehouse operational cost per unit, and route density optimization.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 6–9 years overall experience with at least 4+ years dedicated to building Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing, or Operations software in high-scale e-commerce, D2C, or 3PL environments.
- Leadership: Prior experience managing and mentoring Product Managers or Associate PMs.
- Domain Expertise: Deep hands-on knowledge of WMS, OMS, TMS (Transportation Management Systems), inventory algorithms, and third-party logistics (3PL) API integrations.
- Technical Depth: B.Tech/B.E. degree or strong technical background required; ability to read API docs, evaluate system architecture, and collaborate effectively with senior engineering leaders.
- Data-Driven Problem Solver: Robust quantitative and analytical skills; fluent in SQL and telemetry/tracking tools to evaluate operational metrics.
Preferred Background
- Product leaders from high-scale B2C e-commerce, D2C, quick commerce, retail-tech, or third-party logistics (3PL) platforms.
- Hands-on experience with automated warehousing equipment, IoT integration, or AI/ML-driven demand forecasting/routing platforms.
