Title- Video Editor cum Graphic Designer

Location - Chandigarh University, Mohali Campus

Key Responsibilities

- Create, edit and produce high-quality video content for the university's marketing, social media, event highlights, course promos, guest lectures etc.
- Develop compelling graphic design assets (digital & print) including social-media creatives, banners, flyers, brochures, posters, event visuals, signage.
- Collaborate closely with the content team, marketing team, photography/videography team to ideate, storyboard and execute visual campaigns.
- Manage end-to-end video editing: assembling raw footage, applying transitions, motion graphics, text overlays, sound/music, color grading, export/optimization for platforms.
- Ensure consistency with brand guidelines (fonts, colors, templates, visual style) across design and video outputs.
- Stay updated with latest trends in video content, social-media formats, graphics and motion design.
- Maintain organized archives of design assets, footage, project files and render outputs.
- Deliver multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and ensuring high attention to detail.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Film Production,



Visual Arts or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience (for example 2+ years) in video editing and graphic design.
- Proficiency in design software: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign (for graphic design).
- Proficiency in video editing software: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro or equivalent motion graphics/editing tools. (JD templates list such skills)
- Strong visual storytelling skills, ability to work with raw footage and turn into polished video pieces.
- Valuable communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments, prioritize work and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

- Experience creating short-form social media videos (Reels, TikTok style), motion graphics and animations.
- Understanding of social media platform specifications, print-media requirements.
- Basic knowledge of photography/videography (shooting, lighting, sound) is a plus.
- Portfolio or showreel demonstrating both graphic design and video editing work.
