Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced General Manager Operations to manage the overall operations of our Solvent Extraction Plant. The candidate will be responsible for production, process efficiency, plant safety, quality, maintenance coordination, manpower, cost control, and achieving production targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage overall day-to-day operations of the Solvent Extraction Plant.
2. Plan and achieve production targets as per business requirements.
3. Monitor solvent extraction, solvent recovery, oil recovery, and DORB production.
4. Improve extraction yield, plant efficiency, and capacity utilization.
5. Monitor solvent consumption and minimize process losses.
6. Ensure smooth and efficient production with minimum plant downtime.
7. Coordinate with Maintenance, Electrical, Quality, Stores, Purchase, and Logistics teams.
8. Monitor raw material utilization and production losses.
9. Ensure proper preventive maintenance and timely breakdown rectification.
10. Maintain required product quality and process standards.
11. Ensure strict compliance with plant safety and solvent handling procedures.
12. Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and pollution control requirements.
13.



Manage production manpower, shift schedules, and employee performance.
14. Monitor production cost, power, steam, solvent, and other utility consumption.
15. Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly production/MIS reports.
16. Identify process improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
17. Implement SOPs, safety practices, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement activities.
18. Lead and motivate the plant operations team to achieve organizational goals.

Preferred candidate profile

1. 20+ years of relevant experience in Solvent Extraction / Rice Bran Oil / Edible Oil / Oil Extraction / Agro Processing industry.
2. Strong knowledge of solvent extraction plant operations and processes.
3. Experience in handling production, plant operations, manpower, and maintenance coordination.
4. Good knowledge of production planning, yield improvement, cost control, and safety.
5. Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and team management skills.
6. Candidates with experience in plant expansion, commissioning, or capacity enhancement will have an added advantage.
