About the role

Builds features end-to-end across — UI through API through data layer — to the design and interfaces the Senior Full-Stack Engineer specifies, within the guardrails the Architect sets. This role’s core performance measure is throughput within quality bounds — shipping working, tested features at pace to a design already agreed, not redefining what the design should be.

What you’ll do

- Feature implementation — builds assigned features across UI, API, and data layer for Next Steps and/or the Administrator Insights dashboard, to the design and requirements the Senior Full-Stack Engineer and Business Analyst produce
- Cross-layer integration — makes sure the UI, API, and data layer for its own features work together correctly and don’t silently break adjacent features or modules




- Design escalation — flags to the Senior Full-Stack Engineer where a handed-down design doesn’t hold up in implementation, rather than silently deviating from it
- Offline-first discipline — implements offline-first synchronisation to the pattern the Senior Full-Stack Engineer has set, rather than inventing new ones per feature
- Privacy Architecture & Guardrails: implements to DPDP-by-Design and consent-UX requirements the Senior Full-Stack Engineer and Architect set; never stores clinical data outside the CCE
- Bug fixing — picks up and resolves bugs and enhancement requests assigned through the post-release priority list the Architect triages and OpenPHC signs off
- Test execution — writes unit and integration tests to the coverage standard the QA Automation Engineer sets; does not author the test strategy itself
- Code quality — writes code to the standard the Architect owns; fixes review issues rather than merging around them

What we’re looking for Must-have
- 10+ years building production web or mobile features end-to-end — UI through API through data layer
- Comfortable working to a design and interface handed down by a senior engineer, rather than owning system design
- Some exposure to offline-first or intermittent-connectivity application patterns
- Has used AI coding assistants (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code or similar) in a real production codebase
- AI-first, 10x mindset — uses AI-assisted coding as the default way to move fast within the guardrails already set, not a manual, one-by-one process

Nice-to-have
- Healthcare, agri-tech, fintech-for-underserved, or any product built for low-connectivity rural users
- Experience with an Indic-language UI
- Primary stack — React/React Native, Flutter, or similar
- Familiarity with India’s DPDP Act 2023 obligations

Preferred education Tier 1 engineering institute (IIT/NIT/BITS) required.
