Role Description The Foundry Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Silvassa, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations in the foundry area. This role includes planning and supervising melting, casting, and finishing activities to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.

Supervisor coordinates workforce scheduling, monitors equipment performance, and ensures proper usage of raw materials and alloys. The role involves implementing process improvements, maintaining compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and preparing production reports and documentation.

Supervisor also collaborates with quality, maintenance, and logistics teams to support on-time delivery and continuous improvement in foundry operations.





Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of foundry operations, including melting, casting, and finishing processes, preferably in non-ferrous or copper-based alloys.
- Experience in production planning, workforce supervision, and shift management in an industrial or manufacturing workplace.
- Understanding of quality control practices, metallurgical standards, and inspection methods for cast components.
- Familiarity with safety, health, and environmental regulations applicable to foundry and heavy manufacturing operations.
- Ability to read technical drawings, process sheets, and work instructions; basic computer literacy for reporting and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and process discipline.
- Effective communication and team leadership skills, with the ability to train, guide, and motivate shop-floor personnel.
- Diploma or degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; relevant foundry experience is highly valued.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (such as 5S, lean practices) and equipment maintenance coordination is an advantage.
