Key Responsibilities

Develop and optimise formulations for tablets and capsules.

Conduct formulation trials and evaluate different excipients, process parameters, and manufacturing techniques.

Prepare and maintain BMR/BPR, trial reports, formulation development reports, and other technical documents.

Perform laboratory and pilot-scale trials as per approved protocols.

Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Analytical, and Regulatory Affairs departments for formulation development activities.

Support scale-up and technology transfer from laboratory/pilot scale to commercial manufacturing.

Identify and troubleshoot formulation and process-related issues during trials.

Evaluate physical and chemical characteristics of formulation samples.

Review trial results and recommend suitable formulation/process improvements.

Assist in preparation and review of development protocols, reports, specifications, and SOPs.

Ensure all development activities are performed according to GMP, GLP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain proper records of development activities, observations, results, and conclusions.

Participate in optimisation, process validation, and exhibit/registration batch activities as required.

Coordinate with vendors for evaluation of API and excipient samples when required.





Ensure timely completion of assigned formulation development projects.

Qualification

B.Pharm / M.Pharm – Pharmaceutics / Pharmaceutical Technology

Candidates with relevant pharmaceutical formulation development experience will be preferred.

Experience

Fresher to 2 years of relevant experience in Formulation & Development.

Experience in OSD (Tablet/Capsule) formulation development will be preferred.

Required Skills

Knowledge of tablet and capsule formulation development.

Positive understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

Knowledge of excipients and their functional properties.

Understanding of GMP, GLP and documentation practices.

Problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good coordination and communication skills.

Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and other documentation tools.
