Key Responsibilities

- Identify and source products from manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, and vendors.

- Manage end-to-end procurement and buying of FMCG products.Identify and source products from manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, and vendors.

- Negotiate pricing, margins, payment terms, schemes, promotions, and commercial agreements.

- Monitor market trends, consumer demand, competitor pricing, new products, and category developments.

- Analyse sales, margins, stock levels, inventory turnover, and product performance.

- Ensure optimum stock availability and minimize stock-outs, excess inventory, expiry, and wastage.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and principals.

- Coordinate with Merchandising, Stores, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams. Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, better margins, and category growth. Support promotional planning, seasonal buying,



product launches, and vendor negotiations.

- Monitor supplier performance, product quality, availability, and timely deliveries.

- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.

Preferred candidate profile

- Solid knowledge of FMCG categories, brands, suppliers, and market dynamics

- Experience in retail, supermarket, hypermarket, or large-format retail preferred.

- Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills

- Good understanding of pricing, margins, schemes, promotions, and commercial terms Strong analytical and decision-making abilities

- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills

- Experience with large-format retail, supermarket, hypermarket, or FMCG preferred
