Role & responsibilities:
- Design and development of industrial/railway blowers, fans, and mechanical components.
- Prepare 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Perform engineering calculations for shaft, bearing, impeller, bolted joints, fits & tolerances, and structural components.
- Perform FEA using ANSYS Workbench, including Static Structural, Modal, Harmonic/Response, Shock & Vibration, Fatigue/Life, Thermal and Bolt Strength analysis.
- Interpret FEA results and optimize designs for strength, weight, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Prepare FEA reports and support design verification, testing, and validation.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, Suppliers, and Testing Agencies for technical/design-related issues.
- Support new product development and improvement of existing blower/mechanical designs.
Preferred candidate profile
- Experience in blower/fan design, rotating machinery, traction motors, railway equipment, electric motors, or industrial equipment will be preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience in SolidWorks.
- Hands-on experience in ANSYS Workbench / FEA.
- Good knowledge of Machine Design, Strength of Materials, GD&T;, Fits & Tolerances, Bearings, Shafts, and Bolted Joints.
- Experience in manufacturing drawings and DFM/DFA.
- Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills.
