Role Description The Firmware Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. This role involves designing, implementing, and testing embedded firmware for industrial automation and IoT products, including radio remote control systems.

The Firmware

Engineer collaborates closely with hardware, electrical, and R&D; teams to define requirements, integrate firmware with electronics, and ensure system reliability and performance. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing efficient and maintainable embedded code, debugging and resolving firmware issues, performing code reviews, and contributing to documentation and version control practices.



The role also includes supporting product prototyping, conducting validation and verification tests, and optimizing firmware for resource-constrained environments and real-time operation.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong embedded software skills, including experience with embedded C/C++ and real-time firmware development.
- Candidates should possess solid software development skills, including familiarity with version control, coding standards, and unit testing.
- Candidates should possess positive understanding of ARM architecture and microcontroller-based system design.
- Candidates should possess debugging skills for embedded systems, using tools such as debuggers, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Candidates should possess foundational electrical engineering knowledge related to digital/analog circuits, communication interfaces, and hardware-software integration.
- Relevant skills such as experience with RTOS, communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RF), and industrial or IoT applications are beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams, strong problem-solving skills, and clear technical communication are expected.
