Finance Controller | NetSuite | Remote

nWe are looking for an experienced Finance Controller with robust hands-on accounting and NetSuite experience to take ownership of core accounting operations, company-level accounting, and financial consolidation.

nThis is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working directly in NetSuite, managing accounting controls, reviewing and approving transactions, performing reconciliations, supporting month-end close, and handling complex company-level and consolidation accounting.

nKey Responsibilities

n

nNetSuite / General Accounting

n

n

n
- Approve journal entries and bills
n
- Approve and manage vendor setup and approvals
n
- Reconcile bank accounts
n
- Revalue foreign exchange accounts
n
- Close accounting periods
n
- Upload and maintain new accounts, FX rates, and other accounting data in NetSuite
n
- Reconcile balances between Abacus and NetSuite while the NetSuite implementation is being completed
n

n

nCompany-Level Accounting

n

n

n
- Reconcile payroll liability accounts
n
- Record and account for equity activity, including grants, exercises, expirations, conversions, issuances, and capital raises
n
- Record and analyze changes in fair value of warrant liabilities and public investments
n
- Reconcile intercompany balances
n
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies across accounts and entities
n

nConsolidation & Financial Reporting

n

n

n
- Consolidate existing entities and newly acquired companies
n
- Manage accounting for acquisitions, deconsolidations, wind-ups, and dispositions
n
- Prepare and post consolidation entries
n
- Perform cash flow proofs and reconciliations
n




- Support preparation of financial statements and related notes
n
- Ensure consolidated financial information is accurate, complete, and properly supported
n

nWhat We’re Looking For

n

n

n
- Proven experience as a Finance Controller, Financial Controller, or similar senior accounting role
n
- Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite
n
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close
n
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and financial consolidation
n
- Experience with intercompany reconciliations
n
- Strong understanding of foreign currency accounting and FX revaluation
n
- Experience accounting for equity transactions and complex financial instruments
n
- Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, and entity consolidations/deconsolidations
n
- Strong financial reporting experience, including financial statements and notes
n
- Advanced Excel skills
n
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to independently identify and resolve accounting issues
n
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
n
