We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Accountant who can independently own the day-to-day books of accounts, statutory compliance, and MIS reporting. You will work closely with the founders and be the go-to person for everything related to accounting accuracy, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
1. Transaction posting: Record sales, receipts, purchases, expenses, payments, advances, payroll entries, provisions and journals accurately and promptly in Zoho Books.
2. Invoice control: Obtain and attach supporting invoices, receipts, approvals and payment evidence to the relevant accounting entry.
3. Bank: Reconcile all bank accounts and payment-gateway accounts; investigate and explicit unmatched items promptly.
4. Customers and Vendors: Maintain invoice-wise receivables, allocate collections / payments correctly, follow up on missing remittance details and produce ageing reports.
5. Taxes: Reconcile GST and TDS ledgers to returns, challans, vendor/customer records.
6. Balance Sheet: Maintain schedules and supporting evidence for every material BS account.
7. Close the books by the 10th of every month, either independently or under the guidance of the Finance Controller and CA.
