Role Overview The Fashion Designer will work full-time on-site in Ghaziabad, collaborating closely with design, production, and merchandising teams to create luxury womenswear collections aligned with the brand’s aesthetic and gifting-first philosophy. Day-to-day responsibilities include sketching designs, selecting fabrics and trims, overseeing sample development, and ensuring accurate fitting and drape for bridal couture, occasion wear, and ready-to-wear categories. The role involves working with embroidery and textile artisans, reviewing prototypes, and refining details to maintain high standards of craftsmanship and finish.

The designer will also contribute to trend research, mood boards, and collection planning, ensuring designs meet customer expectations for both style and comfort. Coordination with production and quality teams will be essential to deliver collections on time while preserving design integrity and brand quality.

We are looking for a creative, organised, and detail-oriented Fashion Designer, Merchandising & Production Coordinator to manage the complete product lifecycle, from concept development and design to sourcing, production coordination, quality control, and final delivery.





This is a founding product role with significant ownership and responsibility. You will play a critical role in shaping Figure Fit's product identity, translating brand vision into commercially viable collections while maintaining exceptional quality and execution standards.

The ideal candidate should possess strong fashion design knowledge, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to work closely with vendors, suppliers, pattern masters, and production teams to ensure smooth execution across all stages of product development.

Key Responsibilities

Fashion Design & Product Development

- Research fashion trends, fabrics, colours, silhouettes, and consumer preferences.
- Develop distinctive and premium women's wear concepts aligned with brand positioning.
- Create sketches, mood boards, design presentations, and technical specifications.
- Develop garment concepts, design sheets, and product development documentation.
- Assist in sample development, fittings, and design refinements.
- Coordinate with pattern masters, sampling units, and production teams to ensure design accuracy and quality execution.

Merchandising & Sourcing

- Source fabrics, trims, accessories, and other materials from relevant vendors and suppliers.
- Coordinate with suppliers for quotations, procurement, and material approvals.
- Prepare product costing and maintain merchandising records.
- Track sampling, approvals, sourcing timelines, and production schedules.
- Ensure product quality standards are maintained throughout the development process.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with vendors and manufacturing partners.

Production Coordination & Operations

- Coordinate between management, design, production, branding, and vendor teams.
- Monitor order status and ensure timely execution and delivery.
- Follow up with factories, suppliers, and production units on a regular basis.




- Maintain production schedules, inventory records, reports, and documentation.
- Resolve operational issues and ensure smooth workflow across departments.
- Handle sourcing records, purchase documentation, and production reports.
- Support quality control processes and continuous product improvement initiatives.
- Develop and refine workflows, systems, and SOPs to support future scaling and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

- Strong fashion design skills, including concept development, sketching, and collection planning, with a focus on luxury womenswear and bridal couture.
- Hands-on experience with embroidery and surface ornamentation techniques, and the ability to collaborate effectively with artisans to achieve refined detailing.
- Knowledge of textiles and fabric behaviour, including selection of appropriate materials for lehengas, gowns, sarees, suit sets, and pashmina shawls.
- Proficiency in fitting and garment construction, ensuring comfort, movement, and a polished silhouette across diverse body types.
- Relevant design education (e.g., degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related field) and experience in high-end or designer apparel environments.
- Strong attention to detail, colour and pattern sense, and the ability to balance traditional elements with contemporary aesthetics.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in an on-site studio setting.
- Familiarity with basic design software (such as Adobe Illustrator or similar tools) and a portfolio demonstrating previous design work.
