- Activewear Position: Fabric Designer Experience: 5 Years Salary: ₹50,000 – ₹60,000 per month Location: Bangalore Employment Type: Full time Industry: Fashion / Apparel Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and creative Fabric Designer with around 5 years of relevant experience in streetwear, activewear, sportswear, or fashion apparel. The candidate will be responsible for developing innovative fabric designs, prints, textures, and surface treatments aligned with the brand's aesthetic and product requirements.

Key Responsibilities • Develop creative fabric designs, prints, patterns, textures, and surface designs for streetwear and activewear.

- Research the latest fashion, colour, fabric, print, and streetwear trends.
- Create mood boards, colour palettes, design concepts, and fabric stories.
- Develop and review fabric samples, swatches, strike-offs, and prototypes.
- Coordinate with fabric mills, printers, manufacturers, and vendors for fabric development.
- Select suitable fabrics considering stretch, comfort, breathability, durability, GSM, and performance.
- Work closely with design, sourcing, merchandising, production, and quality teams.
- Prepare technical specifications and design details for production.
- Monitor fabric development from initial concept through final approval.
- Ensure fabric quality, colour, texture, and design meet brand standards.
- Maintain proper records of fabric samples,



developments, approvals, and vendor details.
- Resolve fabric development and production-related issues in coordination with vendors and internal teams.

Required Skills • Strong knowledge of streetwear and activewear fabrics.

- Good understanding of knits, woven, stretch, performance, and technical fabrics.
- Strong knowledge of prints, patterns, colours, textures, and fabric finishes.
- Understanding of GSM, fabric composition, stretch, shrinkage, and colourfastness.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong creative and conceptual design skills.
- Excellent colour sense and attention to detail.
- Strong vendor coordination and negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of apparel manufacturing and production processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Qualification • Bachelor's/Diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field.
