Key Job Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute international business strategies for the company's CE-marked IOLs for cataract surgery, with a primary focus on European and Asian markets.

2. Identify and develop current international markets, including market research, competitor analysis, pricing assessment, market potential, and country-specific entry requirements.

3. Identify, appoint, and manage international distributors, importers, agents, and strategic business partners across target markets.

4. Drive international sales and business development through customer acquisition, product promotion, quotations, negotiations, order management, and long-term customer relationship development.

5. Maintain a strong working knowledge of CE certification, European medical-device requirements, and quality/regulatory documentation relevant to the export of IOLs.

6. Coordinate product registration and market-entry requirements with Regulatory Affairs and Quality teams, including country-specific documentation and distributor/importer requirements.

7. Manage export and regulatory documentation, coordinating with Logistics, Finance, Quality, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely execution of international orders.

8. Monitor distributor performance, sales targets, forecasts, stock, outstanding payments, and market development, and implement appropriate business-development actions.

9. Prepare country-wise and distributor-wise international business reports, including sales performance, pipeline, market opportunities,



regulatory status, competitor intelligence, and management updates.

Preferred candidate profile

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Business, Business Management, Marketing, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medical Devices, or a related field.

- Experience: 4-7 years of experience in international business, export sales, or overseas market development.

- Industry Preference: Candidates from medical-device companies with CE-marked products, particularly ophthalmic/implantable medical devices, will be preferred.

- Candidates from pharmaceutical companies with proven experience in exporting products to European countries may also be considered.

- Practical knowledge of CE certification, European medical-device regulations, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and regulatory documentation is required for Export marketing.

- Experience in handling European market entry, product registration, distributors/importers, and country-specific regulatory requirements.

- Proven experience in international distributor development, appointment, management, and sales growth.

- Good understanding of export procedures, international commercial documentation, shipping, payments, and trade terms.

- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, relationship-management, and business-development skills.

- Candidates with an existing international network in ophthalmology, medical devices, or pharmaceutical distribution will be an added advantage.
