Business Development Executive – Destination Weddings & Vendor Partnerships

Plan4Event is looking for an energetic and result-oriented Business Development Executive to manage Destination Wedding & Event Business Development .

The candidate will be responsible for generating recent wedding/event clients, reaching out to potential customers, developing vendor partnerships, and coordinating with hotels, resorts, decorators, photographers, caterers, makeup artists, DJs, transportation providers, and other event vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Client Acquisition & Sales

- Identify and reach out to potential clients looking for destination weddings and events.
- Generate leads through calls, WhatsApp, social media, references, and other channels.
- Understand client requirements, budget, event dates, guest count, venue preferences, and services required.
- Share suitable wedding/event packages, proposals, quotations, and presentations with clients.
- Follow up regularly with leads and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Maintain proper records of leads, follow-ups, quotations, and conversions.

Vendor Tie-ups & Partnerships

- Identify and onboard hotels, resorts, wedding venues, decorators, photographers, caterers, makeup artists, DJs, mehendi artists, transport providers, and other event vendors.
- Negotiate rates, packages, commissions, and partnership terms with vendors.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Develop a reliable vendor network across popular destination wedding locations.
- Collect updated vendor packages, pricing, availability,



photographs, and service details.

Event & Wedding Coordination

- Coordinate between clients, vendors, venues, and the internal team.
- Assist in venue selection and site visits.
- Ensure that client requirements are properly communicated to vendors.
- Support the team from initial enquiry until booking and event execution.
- Resolve basic client/vendor coordination issues and ensure smooth communication.

Required Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong convincing and negotiation skills.
- Sales and client-handling ability.
- Good knowledge of WhatsApp, email, MS Excel/Google Sheets, and social media.
- Ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.
- Good follow-up and lead-conversion skills.
- Comfortable with calling and client meetings.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, venue visits, and events when required.

Preferred Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in event management, wedding planning, hospitality, travel, tourism, or business development.
- Experience in destination wedding sales or vendor management will be an advantage.
- Freshers with strong communication and sales skills may also be considered.

Performance Indicators
- Number of new client leads generated.
- Client meetings and follow-ups.
- Destination wedding enquiries converted into bookings.
- Number of active vendor tie-ups.
- Vendor rates and packages negotiated.
- Revenue generated through wedding/event bookings.
- Client satisfaction and successful event coordination.
