Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented ETL Tester with strong experience in ETL Testing, SQL, API Testing, and Manual Testing. The ideal candidate should be capable of validating complex data transformations, ensuring data quality, and testing end-to-end data integration processes. Exposure to Automation Testing concepts and frameworks will be an added advantage.

The candidate will work closely with Data Engineers, Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams to validate data pipelines, APIs, and enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Validate ETL processes, data transformations, and data migrations.
- Design and execute test cases for ETL workflows and data pipelines.
- Perform source-to-target data validation and reconciliation.
- Write complex SQL queries for data validation and analysis.
- Test APIs and validate request/response payloads.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects through closure.
- Validate data quality, completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
- Collaborate with developers and data engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Support automation initiatives by developing or maintaining automated test scripts.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and quality assurance activities.

ETL Testing

- Strong hands-on experience in ETL Testing.

SQL
- Strong SQL querying skills.

- Postman or Similar Tools.
- JSON/XML Validation.
- API Functional and Integration Testing.

Manual Testing
- Test Case Preparation and Execution.
- Functional Testing.
- Regression Testing.
- System Integration Testing.
- Defect Management.

Automation Knowledge (Preferred)
- Automation Testing Concepts.
- Selenium or Playwright exposure.
- Java/Python basics.
- Automation Framework understanding.
- Test Automation Best Practices.

Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts.
- Exposure to ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, or Azure Data Factory.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Git Version Control.
- Exposure to Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in ETL Testing, SQL, API Testing, and Manual Testing.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desired Candidate Profile
- Solid understanding of ETL and Data Warehouse testing concepts.
- Excellent SQL and database validation skills.
- Experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Good exposure to Manual Testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of Automation Testing concepts and frameworks.
