Epicor ERP Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Epicor ERP Consultant to administer, support, configure, and enhance Epicor ERP/Kinetic platform. The role will partner with business stakeholders, application teams, and technical teams to ensure platform stability, optimize business processes, and support enterprise-wide ERP initiatives.

Epicor ERP Configuration & Functional Support:

Key Responsibilities

- Configure and maintain Epicor ERP/Kinetic business rules, workflows, dashboards, reports, and system settings.
- Translate business and operational requirements into scalable Epicor ERP solutions and configurations.
- Troubleshoot Epicor application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable resolutions.
- Optimize Epicor ERP utilization by partnering with business stakeholders to improve process efficiency, user adoption, and overall system effectiveness.

Customization & Workflow Management

- Develop and maintain BAQs, BPMs, and Application Studio configurations.
- Support workflow automation and business process enhancements.
- Implement system customizations following Epicor best practices.
- Ensure configurations remain supportable and aligned with business needs.

Integration & Application Support

Key Responsibilities

- Support integrations between Epicor ERP and enterprise applications, ensuring reliable and secure data exchange.
- Troubleshoot API, interface, data flow, and transaction processing issues to minimize business disruption.
- Support data imports, exports, and integration enhancements using XML, JSON, and API-based solutions.
- Coordinate testing, validation, and deployment activities with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Platform Upgrades & Change Management

Key Responsibilities

- Participate in Epicor ERP upgrades, maintenance releases, and enhancement projects.




- Conduct regression testing and system validation activities.
- Assess upgrade impacts on configurations, workflows, and integrations.
- Document changes, outcomes, and post-upgrade recommendations.

Production Support & Business Collaboration

Key Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day support for users and business operations.
- Resolve production issues impacting critical business functions.
- Support UAT, deployments, and post-implementation validation.
- Communicate effectively on issue status, risks, and resolution plans.

Educational Qualification

Required

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred

- ERP-related certifications.
- Industry-recognized technology or cloud certifications.
- Microsoft SQL Server-related certifications.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Have

- Strong hands-on experience with Epicor Kinetic administration, including BAQs, BPMs, Application Studio, and security management.
- Solid Microsoft SQL Server skills including query development, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Experience supporting and maintaining Development, Test, Training, and Production environments.
- Experience with ERP integrations, APIs, XML, and JSON-based data exchange processes.

Preferred

- Deep knowledge of the Epicor ICE Framework and Application Studio.
- Proficiency in C#, SSRS Reporting, and Epicor customization development.
- Understanding of infrastructure components supporting Epicor Kinetic, including SSL certificates, DNS configuration, and FQDN management.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale Epicor deployments within cloud or SaaS environments.
