Manager Product Development

JOB PURPOSE The individual provides technical leadership and expertise for developing and supporting new and existing software products at HCA Healthcare. He/She will lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions that align with business goals. This role involves managing a team of engineers, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and driving innovation in cloud infrastructure and application development.

The role requires effective collaboration with our HQ teams in the US and with cross-functional teams to implement robust cloud strategies and applications while optimizing performance and costs. This individual will analyze business requirements, perform design tasks, construct, test, and implement solutions with little supervision in an agile development environment, and mentor other developers.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Ensure Development Standards: Maintain code and version control using HCA Healthcare standards.
- Lead Development Projects: Oversee projects from inception to implementation.
- Unit Testing and Code Reviews: Ensure thorough testing and peer reviews.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Provide advanced user support and troubleshooting.

Technology Adoption and Innovation

- Establish KPIs: Set and evaluate key performance indicators for technology adoption.
- Process Improvement: Implement changes to enhance technology adoption.
- Training: Conduct and ensure relevant training for technology adoption.
- Technology Acquisition: Identify and manage the acquisition of new technologies.

Emerging Technologies

- Research and Evaluation: Stay updated on emerging technologies and evaluate their potential for organizational use.
- Innovation Implementation: Lead the implementation of innovative technologies to enhance business processes.
- Pilot Programs: Develop and manage pilot programs for new technologies.
- Technology Roadmap: Create and maintain a roadmap for emerging technology integration.

Software Development Lifecycle

- Lead SDLC:



Manage the software development lifecycle for key projects.
- Technical Product Management: Serve as the Technical Product Manager, gathering requirements and managing stories.
- Agile Principles: Promote and implement Agile development principles.

Team and Process Management

- Manage Development Team: Oversee developers, business analysts, quality assurance, and support staff.
- Application Support: Ensure timely and effective application support.
- Cross-departmental assistance: Provide support and advice to other teams as needed.

Collaboration and Evaluation

- Technology Evaluation: Collaborate with architects to evaluate current technologies.
- Collaboration: Work with leadership and clients to deliver application enhancements.
- Revenue-Generating Solutions: Identify and evaluate potential revenue-generating solutions.

Architecture Strategy and Implementation

- Cloud Architecture Strategy: Develop and execute cloud architecture strategies.
- Cloud Solutions Design: Design and implement secure cloud solutions.
- Migration Oversight: Oversee cloud migration efforts.

Standards and Compliance

- Architecture Standards: Establish and enforce architecture standards and security measures.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Cost and Performance Optimization

- Resource Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud resource usage.
- Performance Improvements: Identify opportunities for performance improvements and cost control.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Qualification

B.Tech or Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science or related fields

Relevant certifications such as Google Professional Cloud Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are a plus.

Years of Experience





Total 10+ years experience in engineering

Minimum of 5 years in cloud architecture or related fields.

At least 3-5 years of experience in leading and managing cloud teams.

Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across diverse teams.

Technical Skills

Expertise in cloud platforms like GCP and Azure .

Expertise with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, GKE, and Cloud Run.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Node.js, and polyglot programming practices.

Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Composer) and real-time streaming solutions like GCP Pub/Sub and Kafka.

Experience with even Driven Architecture.

Experience with Redis Cache/ Centralized Caching implementations

Hands-on experience with Terraform, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.

Strong knowledge of databases, including PostgreSQL, BigQuery, and other NoSQL solutions.

Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver, and Azure Monitor.

Experience with Dynatrace will be a plus.

Deep understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.

Understanding of CI/CD and Terraform
