- Purpose of the Job Assistant Production Engineer to support day-to-day Operations on the EMS production line. The candidate should have 4 to 6 years of experience in electronics manufacturing. with a solid understanding of PCBA processes, SMT. THT, back-end assembly and conformal coating workflows This role requires strong technical skills, hands-on problem- solving and providing corrective actions for internal and external failures, and cross- functional cmrdination to meet prcxiuction targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines. 2) Accountability I major activities carried Out by the holder Production Monitoring & Control: Monitor daily production line performance to ensure output targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are achieved Coordinate with operators, line leaders, and other departrnents to minimize downtime and ensure smooth pr(xiuction flow. Issue Resolution: Respond promptly to line stoppages or deviations and cause analysis with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams. Provide the actions reports On NC'S and internal / external failures and its implementations. Escalate issues to the Production Manager or relevant technical teams Process Compliance: Ensure adherenæ to all standard procedures (SOPs), ESD protcx:ols, and work instructions. Enforce implementation of 5S, safety, and housekæping practiæs across the production floor. Line Setup & Changeovers: Assist in line setup, product changeovers, and validation activities for new introductions (NPls). Ensure all ttX)ling, fixtures. and materials are available and verified start of prcxiuction. Documentation & Maintain accurate shift-wise production logs, defect tracking reports,
and machine utilization records. Skill matrix for the line operators and ensure multi skill and multi- tasking development. Generate daily, weekly, or monthly reports on production KPIs such as output, yield, rework, and scrap rates. Team Coordination & Provide hands-on support and guidance to production operators and line leaders Assist in on-the-job training (OJT) and skill development Of shop floor Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, prcxductivity enhancements, and cnst reduction. Participate in improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma projects Quality & Audit Compliance: Work closely with the quality team to resolve in-line quality issues and Wnplement corrective actions. Support internal and external audits by ensuring line compliance with quality and documentation standards, Inventory Control: Work closely with the team to issue inventory to production through the kitting and ensure materials are (nnsumed to convert them into Finished Gcuxis (FCY Ensure that the issued Job Work Orders are completed once the conversion from Raw Material to FG is finished. Verify the system conversion and close the Job Work Orders without any discrepancies through ERP tracking 3)
Key Responsibilities for the position Monitor and manage daily production activities on the SMT and THT lines to efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery. Support prcxiuction ramp-up, shift handovers, and equipment readiness check Analyze and resolve line stoppages, process issues, and material shortages in coordination with maintenanæ, quality, and planning teams. Maintain production documentation, including work instructions, process logs, and shift reports. Ensure adherenæ to standard operating proædures (SOPs), ESD safety, and 5S practices. Assist in setting up and validating recent production lines, fixtures, and tools. Provide training and technical support to production operators and line leaders. Monitor line performance KPIs (OEE, yield, cycle time, downtime) and identify areas for improvement. Work with proæss engineering and quality teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Participate in internal audits and customer visits as a technical representative from the production side. 4) Specific Competencies I Exposure required for the role Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Familiar with equipment such as pick-and-place machines, SPI, AOI, reflow ovens, wave soldering, ICT and conformal (nating machines. Basic understanding of IPC-A-610 standards and quality requirements. Good communication and team coordination abilities. Proficiency with MS Office, ERP/MES systems, and basic data analysis. ERP-SAP knowledge is must.
Pay: ₹580,000.00 - ₹650,000.00 per year
