We are looking for an Electrical BIM Engineer / BIM Modeler with a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, electrical services design, BIM modeling and multidisciplinary coordination. The ideal candidate should not be limited to producing 3D models from mark-ups. The candidate must be capable of understanding electrical design requirements, interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, developing electrical layouts to an appropriate level, producing coordinated Revit models and drawings, and identifying design and coordination issues using Navisworks.

The role will involve working across electrical power, lighting, low-voltage/ELV systems, containment and external electrical services, while coordinating closely with architectural, structural, MEP and project teams.Interpret electrical design requirements, specifications, sketches and engineering inputs.Prepare and develop electrical layouts for residential, commercial, industrial and modular construction projects.Develop layouts for lighting, small power, emergency power, electrical containment, cable trays, cable ladders, conduits, DBs and electrical panels.Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for DBs and electrical panels based on approved engineering inputs.Understand electrical load requirements and assist with load schedules, circuiting and equipment selection where required.Understand basic electrical design parameters, equipment clearances, cable routing and installation requirements.Prepare external electrical services layouts including trench routes and external lighting.Review designs against relevant project specifications, applicable codes and engineering standards.Identify design discrepancies and raise technical queries where engineering clarification is required.Develop accurate electrical BIM models from engineering drawings, specifications and design information.Model electrical equipment, panels, DBs, lighting fixtures, sockets, containment and associated electrical services.Model cable trays, ladders, conduits and other electrical containment systems.Develop electrical systems and circuiting within Revit where required.Maintain appropriate model structure, naming conventions, worksets,



families and project standards.Create and modify electrical Revit families where required.Extract schedules and quantities from Revit models.Prepare coordinated plans, sections, elevations and details from BIM models.Maintain model accuracy and ensure the model reflects approved design intent.Prepare and modify 2D electrical layouts.Prepare SLDs and schematics.Develop lighting and power layouts.Prepare panel/equipment layouts.Prepare cable tray/conduit layouts.Prepare external electrical services layouts.Read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.Convert engineering information and sketches into accurate construction drawings.Federate architectural, structural and MEP models.Perform clash detection and coordination reviews.Identify hard and soft clashes.Review electrical services against architectural and structural constraints.Prepare clash reports.Communicate coordination issues to relevant engineering teams.Participate in coordination meetings.Implement approved coordination changes in Revit.Maintain coordination status and close identified clashes.Work closely with Electrical Engineers, Mechanical/MEP Engineers, Architects, Structural Engineers, BIM Coordinators, BIM Managers, Project Managers, Site Engineers, Contractors, and Fabrication/Installation teams.Review electrical drawings before modelling.Identify missing information and inconsistencies.Detect constructability issues.Identify clashes and routing constraints.Suggest practical routing solutions.Escalate issues requiring engineering approval.Implement approved design changes.Maintain drawing/model accuracy through revisions. Practical understanding of Fire Detection &

- Alarm, Public Address / Voice Evacuation, CCTV, Access Control, Data / Telecom pathways, Security systems and other ELV systems applicable to the project.



Ability to model independently rather than only follow step-by-step modelling instructions. Ability to understand the reason for a clash and contribute to finding a practical engineering solution. Comfortable taking an engineering sketch, drawing or specification and developing the relevant electrical layout/model/drawing, while recognising when a matter requires review or approval from a qualified electrical engineer. Must have practical electrical engineering/design understanding along with strong hands-on proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD and Navisworks.

Minimum: Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical &
- Electronics Engineering.

Minimum: ITI qualification in Electrical with substantial relevant industry experience.

Preferred: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. BIM / Revit certification or equivalent practical experience is preferred.01
