Job Title: Director Construction (Civil)

Location: Mumbai

Experience Required: 18-24 years

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Construction with a robust civil engineering background to lead and oversee construction operations for mixed-use development projects in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in managing large-scale, complex projects from conception through completion, ensuring delivery excellence, quality standards, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage end-to-end construction activities for mixed-use development projects, including residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality components
- Oversee project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure to ensure timely delivery within budget and quality parameters
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to project teams, including site engineers, contractors, consultants, and vendors
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental guidelines
- Drive design coordination, value engineering, and constructability reviews across all phases of project development
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, architects, consultants, government authorities, and internal teams
- Develop and implement construction methodologies, best practices, and quality control processes
- Monitor project budgets,



cost controls, and financial performance; identify and mitigate project risks
- Lead contract negotiations, procurement activities, and vendor management
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all construction activities

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in civil engineering (Master's degree preferred)
- 18-24 years of progressive experience in construction management, with significant exposure to mixed-use development projects
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex construction projects in urban environments
- Strong technical knowledge of civil construction practices, materials, methods, and building codes
- Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities with experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in project management tools, construction software, and MS Office applications
- In-depth understanding of Mumbai's regulatory environment, local construction practices, and approval processes

Preferred Qualifications:

- Professional certifications such as PMP, LEED AP, or equivalent
- Experience working with international consultants and contractors

Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and green building standards
