Key Responsibilities for a DevOps Engineer Candidate
- Evaluating, testing, and building current infrastructure tools and technologies.
- Designing, configuring, and maintaining server-side infrastructure, including Linux servers, virtual machines, cloud environments, networking, storage, and databases.
- Managing server provisioning, configuration, deployment, monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Working with server-side and backend technologies to support application development, testing, and production environments.
- Automating infrastructure and operational processes using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD platforms.
- Managing cloud infrastructure and services using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms.
- Implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or similar solutions.
- Writing detailed planning documents for stories so teammates can assess proposed approaches, suggest alternatives that may have been missed, and agree on the best path forward.
- Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, scripts, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Participating in and conducting intensive code review sessions with peers who hold their own work and others’ work to high standards.
- Helping feature development teams write infrastructure and deployment code and reviewing their contributions.
- Writing clear documentation for infrastructure code, server-side tooling, deployment processes, and development tooling so that it is easy to understand, use, and modify.
- Working closely with the team to deploy new releases and perform data migrations smoothly and reliably.
- Conducting blameless post-mortems following unplanned outages and implementing actions to prevent similar incidents.
- Supporting development infrastructure so that feature teams and QA can effectively collaborate in shared environments.
- Troubleshooting server, application, networking, deployment, and infrastructure-related issues across development, staging, and production environments.
- Implementing security best practices for servers, infrastructure, access control, secrets management, and deployments.
- Managing source control and collaboration workflows using Git and platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
Pay: ₹398,733.70 - ₹1,622,406.64 per year
