Desktop Engineer / Desktop Support Engineer

Job Summary The Desktop Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to end users, maintaining desktop computers, laptops, operating systems, applications, printers, and network connectivity. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, installing and configuring IT equipment, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L1/L2 technical support to users for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows desktops, laptops, and applications.
- Troubleshoot operating system, application, printer, network, and peripheral issues.
- Configure and manage Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, and other business applications.
- Perform hardware installation, replacement, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
- Create, modify, and manage user accounts and access permissions.
- Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and basic networking.
- Install security updates, patches, antivirus software, and system updates.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and track hardware/software allocation.
- Manage incidents and service requests using an IT ticketing system.
- Assist with system imaging,



OS deployment, and computer migrations.
- Provide remote and onsite technical support to employees.
- Document troubleshooting procedures and maintain technical records.
- Follow IT security, backup, and data-protection policies.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of Windows 10/11.
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/Wi-Fi.
- Hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple support tickets.

- Candidates with relevant experience can also apply.
- Candidates should have a basic understanding of desktop support, hardware/software troubleshooting, Windows OS, and networking.

Shift & Work Location

- Office Location: TMC Office
- Working Days: 6 days per week.
- TMC Holidays: On TMC holidays, employees will be required to work from the Facts Online office.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
