Role Description The Designer – Adobe Illustrator role at TruColors is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore. In this role, the designer creates and refines digital artwork for school-wear merchandise, including logos, patterns, and garment graphics using Adobe Illustrator. Daily tasks include collaborating with the merchandising and production teams to translate concepts into print-ready designs, adjusting artwork based on feedback, and ensuring designs align with brand guidelines and technical specifications.

The designer is responsible for preparing files for manufacturing, maintaining organized design assets, and assisting in the development of new collections and visual themes for Prepster. The role may also involve participating in design reviews,



supporting marketing visuals, and contributing ideas to improve product appeal and consistency.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and related vector design tools, with the ability to create production-ready graphics for apparel.
- Experience in fashion or apparel design, especially graphics for garments, uniforms, or merchandise, with an understanding of print and fabric limitations.
- Skills in visual composition, typography, color theory, and layout, with attention to detail and consistency across designs.
- Ability to interpret briefs, conduct basic design research, and translate concepts into clear, marketable visuals aligned with brand standards.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with production, marketing, and sales teams on-site.
- Good time management and organizational skills, including handling multiple design projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant education in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with printing processes, garment manufacturing workflows, and file preparation for screen printing, embroidery, or digital printing is a plus.
