ABOUT THE ROLE

Protech Engineers is seeking a technically strong Design Engineer to support the design and detailing of dairy, food, beverage,

pharma and process equipment, including engineering drawings, 3D modelling, layouts and manufacturing support for turnkey projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings and detailed manufacturing drawings.

Create and modify 3D models of process equipment and modules using suitable 3D CAD software.

¢ Design and detail process tanks, vessels, skids, piping layouts, components and structural supports.

¢ Develop equipment and plant layouts as required for project execution.

¢ Interpret process requirements, specifications and engineering inputs for equipment design.

¢ Coordinate with Process, Project, Production and Fabrication teams.

¢ Provide design support during manufacturing, assembly and site installation activities.

¢ Incorporate approved revisions and resolve fabrication-related design issues.

¢ Prepare drawings and documentation required for fabrication and project execution.

¢ Ensure practical, manufacturable and dimensionally accurate designs.





REQUIRED SKILLS & CANDIDATE PROFILE

¢ Minimum 2 years of relevant mechanical design experience.

¢ Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred.

¢ Strong AutoCAD skills are mandatory.

¢ Working knowledge of SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Inventor, Creo or equivalent 3D CAD software.

¢ Experience with dairy, food, beverage, pharma, chemical or process equipment is preferred.

¢ Knowledge of equipment design, tanks, vessels, piping and fabrication drawings.

¢ Understanding of material selection, fabrication methods, dimensions and engineering standards.

¢ Valuable drawing-reading, detailing and problem-solving skills.

¢ Detail-oriented, self-motivated and capable of working with cross-functional teams.

TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT

Practical AutoCAD + 3D CAD assessment covering drawing interpretation, equipment detailing, 3D modelling and preparation of a manufacturing-oriented drawing.

KEY PERFORMANCE FOCUS

¢ Accuracy and quality of engineering drawings.

¢ Timely completion of design deliverables.

¢ Practical and fabrication-friendly equipment design.

¢ Effective coordination with production and project teams.

¢ Quick resolution of design and fabrication-related technical issues.
