Position for Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for Designing of chassis components using CatiaV5/CatiaV6.

About the Role

Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for designing and developing chassis components, creating and maintaining CAD models and drawings, and performing basic CAE studies while ensuring compliance with design, quality, and manufacturability requirements.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop chassis components including:
- Wheels
- Brakes
- Subframes
- Engine Mounts
- Fuel System Components
- Suspension Systems
- Steering Systems
- Other related chassis and vehicle components
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models using CATIA V5 and CATIA V6/3DEXPERIENCE.
- Generate and update 2D engineering drawings in accordance with Honda drafting standards.
- Create and manage 3D annotated models using CATIA V6/3DEXPERIENCE.
- Ensure compliance with design requirements, packaging constraints, quality standards, and manufacturability considerations.
- Perform basic CAE studies using CATIA embedded solvers, including:




- Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Natural Frequency Analysis

Qualifications

- B3+ years of experience in automotive design and development.
- Experience in chassis component design and development.
- Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 automotive suppliers is preferred.

Required Skills

- Working knowledge of CATIA V6/3DEXPERIENCE.
- Understanding of automotive chassis systems and vehicle packaging.
- Experience in 2D drafting and GD&T; principles.
- Basic CAE analysis experience (FEA, vibration, and structural analysis).
- Solid engineering calculation and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with automotive design release processes and change management.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 automotive suppliers is preferred.
