About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Design Engineer with expertise in FreeCAD to join our client's dynamic team on a full-time basis. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing significantly to the development of precision components for industrial manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, modeling, and optimizing mechanical parts, ensuring they meet technical specifications and manufacturing standards. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a keen eye for detail to translate complex engineering concepts into practical design solutions.

Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical design principles, with proficiency in FreeCAD for 3D modeling and parametric design. Relevant experience in manufacturing processes and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications are essential.

Familiarity with GD&T; standards and CAD file formats, along with excellent communication skills, will be advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.



A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred, along with relevant industry certifications.

Responsibilities

- Design and model mechanical components using FreeCAD tailored for manufacturing applications, ensuring accuracy and functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to confirm design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Revise and enhance existing designs based on feedback from production lines and engineering evaluations to improve performance and efficiency.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including detailed drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and design reports.
- Conduct thorough design reviews to identify potential manufacturing challenges, proposing effective solutions to mitigate risks.
- Stay updated with latest industry trends, tools, and standards to continuously improve design quality and process efficiency.
