Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist with strong expertise in Machine Learning and statistical modelling to join our modelling team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing, validating, and implementing ML models, preferably within the US Banking / Financial Services domain.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and enhance Machine Learning and statistical models for banking and financial services use cases.

- Translate business problems into analytical and modelling solutions.

- Perform data exploration, feature engineering, model development, validation, and performance monitoring.

- Work with large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.

- Evaluate model performance using appropriate statistical and ML techniques.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and modelling teams to deliver scalable solutions.

- Document modelling approaches, assumptions, methodologies, and results.

- Continuously improve existing models and explore new modelling techniques.

Required Skills & Experience:





- 5-8 years of experience in Data Science / Machine Learning / Statistical Modelling.

- Strong hands-on experience in developing ML models using various machine learning techniques.

- Robust programming skills in Python and experience with relevant ML libraries.

- Good understanding of statistics, predictive modelling, model validation, and performance metrics.

- Experience working with large datasets and strong proficiency in SQL.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Experience working with US Banking / Financial Services data and business problems is highly preferred.

- Ability to independently understand business requirements and convert them into modelling solutions.

Preferred Domain Experience:

- US Banking / Financial Services

- Collections & Recoveries modelling experience is highly preferred.

- Experience with credit risk, customer Behavior, collections strategy, recovery prediction, or related banking use cases would be an advantage.
