Skills and Competencies
- 2 to 5 years of experience in data management, data quality, data governance, or related analytical functions
- Strong knowledge of structured finance products, including Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities, Asset-Backed Securities, Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities, and Collateralized Loan Obligations
- Experience working with data acquisition, validation, enrichment, cleansing, and Master Data Management initiatives
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to analyze, transform, and manage large datasets
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and process improvement
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across global and cross-functional teams
- Experience with Python, VBA, automation, or scripting tools is preferred
- Knowledge of project management practices and software development lifecycle methodologies is preferred
Education
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field required/ MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Support the acquisition, management, governance, and quality of structured finance data to enable downstream products, analytics, and business growth
- Manage the end-to-end production lifecycle for structured finance datasets, including agency and non-agency residential mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, and collateralized debt obligations
- Acquire, validate, transform, and maintain data to support analytics products and operational processes.
- Monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness
- Coordinate vendor operations by managing submissions, resolving inquiries, defining requirements, establishing acceptance criteria, and approving deliverables
- Partner with Data Operations and Development teams to prioritize requirements, create and track work items, and support production activities
- Establish and maintain structured asset data governance processes, standards, and controls
- Lead initiatives focused on data cleansing, enrichment, and process optimization to improve operational efficiency and data integrity
- Contribute to enterprise-wide data quality and Master Data Management initiatives
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and best practices that enhance data management capabilities
- Support cross-functional stakeholders through analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts
