Role Description The Data Governance Architect at Perficient India will design, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks and standards across enterprise data platforms. This full-time hybrid role is based in Chennai, with a mix of in-office collaboration and flexibility to work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining data policies, ownership, and stewardship models; designing data architectures that support governance objectives; and ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.

The role involves partnering with business and technology stakeholders to map data flows, establish metadata and lineage practices,



and guide teams on best practices for data modeling, warehousing, and ETL.

The Data Governance

Architect will also provide thought leadership, documentation, and training to promote consistent and responsible data usage across the organization.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Data Governance, including policies, standards, data stewardship, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in Data Architecture and Data Modeling, with experience designing scalable, secure, and well-documented data solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools, focusing on performance, data quality, and reliability.
- Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and platforms, including dimensional modeling and enterprise reporting ecosystems.
- Experience working with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern data stacks is highly beneficial.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate complex data concepts clearly, and influence technical and business stakeholders.
- Proven background in architect or lead roles within data, analytics, or information management initiatives.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
