NWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Snowflake Data Engineer / Migration Lead to drive an enterprise-scale Oracle Database to Snowflake migration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and executing Oracle-to-Snowflake migrations and strong expertise in Snowflake, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, Apache Airflow, Parquet, and modern data engineering.

NThis role will be responsible for migrating not only data, but also database logic, business rules, and data pipelines, while ensuring data quality, performance, scalability, and a smooth production transition.

NKey Responsibilities

nLead the end-to-end Oracle-to-Snowflake migration, including assessment, architecture, development, testing, cutover, and stabilization.

NAnalyze Oracle schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and dependencies and translate them into Snowflake.

NDesign and implement scalable Snowflake data models, ELT pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and transformations.

NConvert Oracle SQL/PLSQL and database logic into optimized Snowflake SQL and up-to-date cloud data patterns.

NDevelop production-grade Apache Airflow DAGs for data ingestion, transformation, scheduling, dependencies, monitoring, and error handling.

NDesign efficient Parquet-based data pipelines, including extraction, staging, loading, partitioning, compression, and schema evolution.

NEvaluate and implement Snowflake Hybrid Tables for appropriate transactional/operational workloads.

NIdentify, document, and migrate business rules embedded in Oracle PL/SQL, ETL processes, database objects, and application logic.

NDetermine appropriate implementation of business rules using

NSnowflake SQL, Python, dbt, Airflow, or a Business Rules Engine (BRE).

NBuild automated data reconciliation, validation, and business-rule regression testing between Oracle and Snowflake.

NPerform Snowflake query, warehouse, pipeline,



and data-load performance optimization.

NCollaborate with architects, DBAs, application teams, business analysts, QA, and data engineering teams.

NSupport production cutover, troubleshooting, and post-migration stabilization.

NRequired Qualifications &Skills;

N6+ years of overall database/data engineering experience.

N3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience.

NProven experience delivering enterprise-scale Oracle-to-Snowflake migrations in production.

NStrong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL expertise, including stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, views, and complex database logic.

NStrong Snowflake SQL, architecture, data modeling, and ELT experience.

NHands-on Apache Airflow experience developing and operating production DAGs.

NStrong experience with Parquet and cloud object storage such as AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, or GCP.

NExperience with SnowflakeStreams, Tasks, Snowpipe/COPY INTO, stages, and performance optimization.

NHands-on experience with Snowflake Hybrid Tables is strongly preferred.

NExperience with large-volume data migration, incremental loads, CDC, reconciliation, and migration testing.

NStrong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

NNice-to-Have Skills

nSnowPro Advanced: Data Engineer certification.

NSnowPro Core certification.

NExperience with a Business Rules Engine (BRE) or decision/rules-management platform.

NExperience migrating and modernizing business rules from Oracle/PLSQL.

NExperience integrating BRE with Snowflake and Airflow.

NPython and DBT experience.

NExperience with Oracle GoldenGate, AWS DMS, Fivetran, Qlik Replicate, Informatica, or similar tools.

NExperience with CI/CD, Git, and cloud data platforms.

NSnowflake security and governance experience
