We know things worth saying — about the product, about our customers, about why training providers pick us over the alternatives. Almost none of it ever leaves the room. It lives in founder conversations, sales calls, and product Slack threads, and then it just sits there. We need someone who can take that and turn it into something the rest of the world can actually read.
Now, for you who don't know Blend-ed — we're an AI-first LMS built on Open edX, one of a small number of official global Open edX partners. We work with training providers and corporate clients across the globe, with some genuinely strong logos already on our shelf, delivering high-stakes training that people actually depend on.
What you'll actually be solving
We have more positive ideas than published content. Founders talk to customers every week and learn things worth saying — but nobody's turning that into an article, a page, a case study, or a campaign. That's the gap. You don't wait for a brief with every step mapped out; you take a rough thought or a customer insight and carry it all the way to something published and working.
- Turn a founder conversation, a product update, or a sales call into content — decide the objective, the audience, the format, and get it made.
- Build the plan, not just the pieces. Turn what we know about the business and the audience into themes, campaigns, and an editorial calendar with real deadlines and owners.
- Write the actual thing — website copy, articles, case studies, emails, social, sales material — whatever format the point actually needs.
- Own it through to live. Brief, draft, review, coordinate with design and product, publish, and check that the final version is right.
- Give it a life beyond one channel. One customer conversation should become an article, an email, and a handful of posts — each shaped for where it lands, not copy-pasted.
- What you'll do in your first 90 days (These are our proposed milestones — we'd shape the exact targets with you in week one.)
- Take stock of what exists. Go through our current content, messaging, and channels — flag what's working, what needs fixing, and what's missing entirely.
- Build a real editorial calendar. Turn business priorities and audience needs into an actual plan, not a wish list.
- Ship the first pieces. Take a small set of ideas through research, writing, and publishing — prove you can carry something from "we should talk about this" to live.
- Set up a repeatable workflow. Build the process for collecting ideas, briefing, reviewing, and publishing on time, so it doesn't depend on you personally holding it all together.
- Learn what's actually working. Look at early results and feedback, and tell us honestly what to double down on, fix, or drop.
- What we're looking for
You've done this before (non-negotiables)
- You can really write — structure an argument, explain an idea clearly, and make every paragraph earn its place. Excellent written English, since you're writing for a global audience.
- You've taken content from strategy to a finished, published result — not just drafts that sit in a doc.
- You work independently. You ask the right questions, make reasonable calls without needing every step handed to you, and keep things moving.
- You can pull real information out of people — interviewing, research, fact-checking — and turn an unfamiliar topic into something accurate.
- You get that a founder, a training provider, and a product user need the same idea explained differently.
You might also bring (differentiators)
- You know your way around SEO and distribution — search intent, content structure, making things discoverable without sacrificing readability.
- You've written for B2B SaaS, LMS, ed-tech, or corporate training before.
- You have a portfolio that shows both the content and the thinking behind it.
- You've written case studies or sales-supporting content, or briefed designers on visual/video work.
- You use AI tools well — with your own judgment doing the fact-checking and editing, not the tool.
- Why this role matters We're about 20 people building a product and having customer conversations every day, and most of what we learn never leaves the building. You're the one who closes that gap — turning what we know into something a buyer outside Blend-ed can actually read, understand, and act on.
There will always be more good ideas than time to execute them. Your job is picking the ones worth pursuing and carrying them all the way through — from "we should talk about this" to something published, used, and still working for us months later.
