ROLE SUMMARY
Second-in-command on the content desk. Translates campaign strategy into finished work, drives day-to-day content development, and shares editorial-review responsibility, flagging risk and rewriting drafts to an institutionally sound standard.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Campaign Strategy: Shape timely core narratives and connect audience segments to 35 content pillars and Differentiate strategy by platform.
- Content Development: Produce researched articles, platform-appropriate social copy, and short-film concepts and scripts.
- Editorial Review: Review drafts across all five risk dimensions, flag problematic phrases, and rewrite content calmly and accurately.
- Amplification: Develop realistic amplification ideas using proactive and reactive misinformation approaches.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain format, word-limit, and submission discipline across the team's output.
ELIGIBILITY
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Creative Head, Team Lead,
or Sub-Head. in a Government Department / Reputed Media House.
- PG Diploma / Degree in Mass Communication or Journalism from a recognized university/institute with Excellent command of English and Hindi.
- Desirable: Experience leading a social media team.
- Desirable: Journalism / Traditional Media experience Prior experience working in Government Departments / Ministries.
SKILLS
- Proven editorial leadership across written, social media, and video content.
- Robust writing skills with an accessible yet substantive writing style.
- Accurate use of government terminology.
- Sound editorial judgment and the ability to pinpoint the most dangerous element in a draft.
- Understanding of the tone and responsibility of official communication.
