Role & responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation and submission of federal, state and local tax returns.

- Handle and support GST, TDS, Professional Tax (PT) and Income Tax compliance.

- Conduct basic tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.

- Maintain accurate tax records, working papers and supporting documentation.

- Review tax filings and supporting data to identify discrepancies, errors or compliance gaps.

- Coordinate with senior team members during tax audits and assessments.

- Assist in responding to queries and requirements from tax authorities.

- Monitor changes in tax regulations and statutory compliance requirements.

- Maintain compliance calendars and ensure timely completion of applicable filings.

- Prepare and maintain reports and documentation related to tax compliance.





- Work closely with internal teams and external consultants, wherever required.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.

- 3+ years of relevant experience in tax compliance/accounting.

- Good understanding of GST, TDS, Professional Tax and Income Tax.

- Solid analytical and numerical skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

Experience supporting audits and tax assessments.

- Relevant internship, certification or coursework in taxation/accounting will be an advantage.
