Role Description

This is a full-time, in office CNC Operator role based in Coimbatore. The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include loading materials, selecting appropriate tools, entering program data or calling up existing programs, and adjusting machine settings to maintain dimensional accuracy.

The role involves inspecting finished components, performing basic maintenance, and reporting any machine issues or quality deviations to supervisors. The CNC Operator will collaborate with the production and quality teams, follow safety and housekeeping standards, and maintain organized workstations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Machine Operation skills, including CNC setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting.
- Candidates should possess Machining and Milling skills, with the ability to work on various materials and interpret engineering drawings.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control skills, including use of measuring instruments (e.g., calipers,



micrometers, gauges) and adherence to tolerances.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Machinery, including routine checks, basic maintenance, and safe handling of equipment.
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g., ITI, Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Tool & Die, or similar) is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, CNC programs, and work instructions.
- Attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and commitment to safety and cleanliness on the shop floor.
- Willingness to work in shifts as required and collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Prior experience as a CNC operator or in precision machining is an advantage but motivated entry-level candidates may be considered.
