Role Description This full time remote Cloud Engineer role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure that supports MindLytics’ data and analytics platforms. Day-to-day tasks include building and optimizing scalable cloud architectures, configuring and monitoring infrastructure resources, and ensuring high availability, security, and performance of production environments.

The Cloud

Engineer collaborates closely with software developers, data engineers, and analytics teams to automate deployments, improve CI/CD pipelines, and streamline data workflows. The role also involves troubleshooting system issues, managing infrastructure costs, and documenting technical designs and operational procedures.



Participation in continuous improvement initiatives and staying current with emerging cloud technologies is expected.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Cloud Computing skills, including experience with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native services.
- Candidates should possess Infrastructure skills, such as configuring networks, managing virtual machines/containers, and using infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Candidates should possess Linux skills, including system administration, shell scripting, and performance monitoring in production environments.
- Candidates should possess Databases skills, including working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, query optimization, and backup/recovery strategies.
- Candidates should possess Software Development skills, including proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java) and familiarity with APIs and CI/CD practices.
- Relevant experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
- Knowledge of security best practices in the cloud, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance, is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment.
