Position Objective The CEO will be responsible for the overall management, growth, profitability and operational excellence of the Company

.

The incumbent will provide leadership across:

- Business Development & Marketing
- Defence Customer Management
- Engineering, Design & Development
- Manufacturing & Production
- Procurement & Supply Chain
- Project and Order Execution
- Quality & Compliance
- Finance & Commercial Management
- Human Resources & Team Development
- Strategic Planning & Business Growth

The CEO is expected to function as a hands-on leader who can convert business opportunities into profitable and successfully executed projects .

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Growth

- Develop and implement the Company's short-term and long-term business growth strategy.
- Identify new opportunities in the Indian Defence, Aerospace, Naval, Satellite Communication and Power Electronics markets.
- Strengthen relationships with existing customers and develop new strategic customers.
- Build strong relationships with organisations such as Defence Forces, DRDO laboratories, DPSUs, Government organisations, Defence Primes and Private Defence companies.
- Identify and pursue suitable tenders, RFQs, RFPs, development programmes and long-term supply opportunities.
- Drive preparation and submission of technically and commercially competitive proposals.
- Develop new business through strategic partnerships, technology collaborations and overseas OEM/channel partners.
- Establish annual sales targets and ensure achievement of revenue, profitability and order-book objectives.

2. Customer Relationship Management

- Act as the senior management interface with key customers.
- Maintain regular interaction with Defence establishments, Government organisations, OEMs and strategic customers.
- Ensure timely response to customer technical and commercial requirements.
- Address customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Build long-term relationships leading to repeat and new business opportunities.

3. Engineering, Design & Product Development

- Provide overall leadership and direction to the Company's engineering and design team.
- Review customer technical requirements and ensure proper interpretation of specifications.
- Guide development of Power Electronics systems and related Defence products.
- Ensure design activities are completed within agreed cost, quality and timelines.
- Encourage value engineering, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), localisation and indigenisation.
- Coordinate with technology partners, consultants and external design agencies wherever required.
- Ensure proper technical documentation, configuration control and design records.

4. Manufacturing & Production Management

- Plan and monitor manufacturing activities to ensure timely execution of customer orders.
- Ensure optimum utilisation of manpower, equipment and manufacturing resources.
- Establish appropriate production planning and monitoring systems.
- Improve productivity, manufacturing efficiency and operational discipline.
- Ensure that products are manufactured according to approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production operations.

5. Procurement & Supply Chain Management

- Supervise strategic procurement of electronic, electrical and mechanical components.
- Develop reliable Indian and overseas suppliers.
- Ensure timely availability of critical components required for production and project execution.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, delivery schedules and payment conditions with suppliers.




- Monitor imported components and international sourcing requirements.
- Develop alternate sources for critical and long-lead-time materials.
- Focus on cost reduction, localisation and supply-chain risk mitigation.
- Maintain strong relationships with overseas Channel Partners and technology suppliers.

6. Project & Order Execution The CEO will have overall responsibility for ensuring that every customer order progresses effectively from: Order Receipt → Engineering → Procurement → Manufacturing → Testing → Inspection → Documentation → Dispatch → Customer Acceptance → Payment Collection

Key responsibilities include

- Prepare and monitor project execution plans.
- Review project milestones and delivery commitments.
- Identify potential delays and initiate corrective actions.
- Conduct periodic project review meetings.
- Ensure timely customer inspections and acceptance.
- Coordinate closely between Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Production, Quality and Finance.
- Ensure projects are completed within agreed cost, quality and delivery schedules.

7. Quality & Defence Compliance

- Promote a strong quality culture throughout the organisation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Defence, customer and statutory quality requirements.
- Strengthen quality assurance and quality control systems.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability.
- Coordinate customer/DGQA/Defence inspection requirements wherever applicable.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
- Promote a philosophy of Right First Time and On-Time Delivery .

8. Financial & Commercial Management The CEO will work closely with the Directors and Finance team to ensure sound financial management of the Company.

Responsibilities will include

- Preparation and monitoring of annual operating budgets.
- Revenue and profitability management.
- Project costing and margin analysis.
- Cash-flow planning.
- Working-capital management.

- Receivables and payment follow-up.
- Inventory management.
- Cost control.
- Review of major purchases and expenditures.
- Monitoring of project-wise profitability.

The Directors will provide the required financial and management support to facilitate business growth and execution. 9. Team Building & Human Resource Development

- Assess the existing organisational structure and manpower capabilities.
- Strengthen the team whenever required based on business growth.
- Identify competency gaps and recruit suitable professionals.
- Develop second-line leadership and functional ownership.
- Establish clear KRAs and KPIs for key employees.
- Conduct periodic performance reviews.
- Mentor employees and create a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous learning.
- Retain and develop high-performing employees.

10. Organisation Development & Systems

- Establish professional systems, processes and Standard Operating Procedures across all major functions.
- Create appropriate Management Information Systems and dashboards.
- Introduce regular management review mechanisms.
- Strengthen internal coordination and accountability.
- Improve planning, documentation and decision-making processes.




- Gradually transform the organisation from a promoter-driven operation into a professionally managed and scalable enterprise.

11. Strategic Planning

- Prepare a 3–5 year strategic growth roadmap for the Company.
- Identify new technologies, products and market opportunities.
- Evaluate partnerships, joint ventures, technology transfers and strategic alliances.
- Promote indigenisation opportunities under India's Defence manufacturing ecosystem.
- Explore opportunities under Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat and other Defence procurement initiatives.
- Identify export opportunities wherever commercially viable.
- Recommend investments required for expansion of capability, infrastructure and manpower.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be a mature, experienced and result-oriented professional with strong exposure to Defence Electronics, Power Electronics, Aerospace, Electronics Manufacturing, Communication Systems or related high-technology engineering industries .

The candidate should preferably have managed a business unit, SME/MSME, plant, division or complete profit centre and should be comfortable working in a hands-on entrepreneurial workplace.

Educational Qualification

Preferred:

- B.E./B.Tech in Electronics / Electrical / Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation or related Engineering discipline.

An MBA or postgraduate qualification in Business Management, Operations, Marketing or Finance would be an added advantage.

Experience

Preferred Experience: 10+years The candidate should preferably have significant experience in one or more of the following:

- Defence Electronics
- Power Electronics
- Aerospace
- Satellite Communications
- Electronic Systems
- Defence Manufacturing
- Defence Business Development
- Engineering & Manufacturing Operations

Previous experience in a senior position such as: CEO / COO / Business Head / Unit Head / General Manager / Vice President / Plant Head / Profit Centre Head would be preferred.

Experience in an MSME or medium-sized technology/manufacturing organisation will be a significant advantage.

Preference will be given to candidates having working knowledge and professional relationships within organisations such as:

- Indian Navy
- Indian Army
- Indian Air Force
- DRDO
- BEL
- HAL
- BEML
- Defence PSUs
- Shipyards
- Defence Prime Contractors
- Private Defence Companies
- Space and Satellite Communication organisations

Exposure to Defence procurement procedures, tenders, development projects, qualification processes and customer inspections will be highly desirable.
