Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Cad Draftsman – Steel Structures, based in Delhi, India. The role involves preparing detailed CAD drawings and 3D models for steel structures used in offshore and marine engineering projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and project specifications.

The Cad

Draftsman will work closely with structural engineers to translate design concepts, calculations, and sketches into accurate fabrication drawings and layouts.



Daily responsibilities include updating and maintaining drawing records, revising drawings based on engineering feedback, and coordinating with project teams to resolve design and documentation issues. The role may also involve supporting design reviews, assisting in quantity take-offs, and contributing to continuous improvement of drafting practices and templates.

Qualifications

- Strong CAD drafting skills with proficiency in AutoCAD and related design tools for steel structures.
- Experience creating structural drawings, general arrangements, fabrication details, and shop drawings for offshore or industrial projects.
- Knowledge of structural engineering basics, steel design concepts, and relevant international codes/standards.
- Ability to interpret engineering calculations, specifications, and sketches, and convert them into accurate drawings.
- Good understanding of dimensional accuracy, tolerances, and drawing documentation practices.
- Effective collaboration skills to work with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple drawing assignments and deadlines.
- Diploma or degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline; drafting certification is an advantage.
- Prior experience in marine, offshore, or oil and gas projects is highly beneficial.
