Role Overview

We are looking for experienced C Embedded Developers / Consultants with 2 years of hands-on experience in C and Python development. The selected engineer(s) will work on modernizing an existing mobile C software platform, improving its architecture, and supporting integration with a new cloud simulator environment.

The consultant will be part of an Agile engineering team and will contribute to code modernization, modularization, testing, build automation, and secure software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Refactor and modernize the existing mobile C software using modern C practices.
- Break the existing monolithic codebase into modular, reusable, and maintainable components.
- Improve application maintainability, scalability, reliability, and testability.
- Decouple repositories and manage dependencies effectively across software components.
- Align the application architecture with the new cloud simulator platform.
- Design and implement solutions using appropriate software architecture principles and design patterns.
- Develop and maintain automated unit/integration tests.
- Work with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated build/test processes.
- Support containerized development and deployment using Docker.




- Contribute to secure software development practices and support compliance requirements related to the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
- Collaborate with developers, architects, QA engineers, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Required Skills & Experience
- 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with C development.
- Good experience with Python development and scripting.
- Strong knowledge of Modern C (C 17/C 20).
- Experience refactoring and modularizing large or legacy codebases.
- Experience with repository decoupling and dependency management.
- Good understanding of software architecture, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.
- Robust Linux development experience.
- Experience with Linux build systems, preferably CMake.
- Understanding of secure software development practices.
- Good debugging, problem-solving, and code-quality skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum teams.
