IT Business Analyst - Oil &

Role Overview:

We are looking for experienced IT Business Analysts with strong exposure to the Oil &

- Gas industry. The selected professionals will work closely with business teams, technology stakeholders and implementation partners to understand business processes, gather requirements and support the delivery of technology-enabled solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct workshops and discussions with business teams to understand their processes, challenges and technology aspirations.
- Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements.
- Prepare BRDs, FSDs, process documents, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for technology teams.
- Obtain requirement and solution sign-offs from relevant business units.
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning and sprint-grooming sessions.
- Provide functional clarification and domain expertise throughout the development lifecycle.
- Coordinate with business, development, testing and support teams.
- Assist with user acceptance testing, defect resolution and production releases.
- Conduct source-to-target, process and functional validation wherever applicable.
- Prepare user manuals, FAQs, process documents, system architecture documentation, data architecture documents and data-model descriptions.
- Conduct training sessions for client users on newly developed or enhanced solutions.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer between implementation and L2 support teams.
- Track market trends, emerging technologies,



regulations and current business models relevant to the Oil &
- Gas industry.
- Support benchmarking exercises covering technology, processes, people, functional innovations and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with external agencies and statutory authorities when required for time-sensitive implementations.

Mandatory Skills and Experience:

- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Minimum 2 years of direct experience in the Oil &
- Gas domain.
- Strong experience in requirement gathering and stakeholder workshops.
- Hands-on experience preparing BRDs, FSDs, user stories and functional documentation.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Experience in sprint grooming, UAT, production releases and stakeholder sign-offs.
- Strong understanding of business-process mapping and gap analysis.
- Excellent stakeholder-management, presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work from the Mumbai office five days a week.

Education - Mandatory:

Candidates must have either

- B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology; or
- B.Tech in any other discipline along with a full-time MBA/PGDM.

Profiles that do not meet the mandatory education or Oil &

- Gas experience criteria will not be considered.

Preferred Skills:

- Understanding of downstream, upstream, retail-fuel or energy-sector business processes.
- Experience with digital-transformation or technology-modernisation projects.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and emerging Oil &
- Gas technology trends.
- Experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment.
