About The Role The Oracle CPQ Business Analyst at Tata Consultancy Services plays a pivotal role in driving Quote-to-Cash transformation initiatives for our clients across Pan India. This position requires a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in IT and business consulting, specifically in Oracle CPQ Cloud implementations and transformations.
The successful candidate will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex business requirements into effective CPQ solutions. This role involves leading requirements gathering, process analysis, solution design, and validation activities, ensuring seamless integration and adoption of Oracle CPQ Cloud within client ecosystems. The analyst will also support testing, training, and post-implementation support to ensure optimal system performance and user adoption.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10+ years of experience in IT and business consulting with a proven track record in Oracle CPQ Cloud implementations. Relevant certifications such as Oracle CPQ Cloud certification or equivalent are highly preferred.
The candidate should have strong functional knowledge of CPQ capabilities, including product configuration, pricing, discounting, quoting, approvals, and document generation. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills are essential.
Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems such as Salesforce, Oracle Sales Cloud, Oracle Fusion, or similar platforms is desirable.
A solid understanding of Quote-to-Cash processes, Agile methodologies, and experience in preparing detailed functional specifications, business process flows, and UAT scenarios will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary functional liaison between business stakeholders, sales operations, product and pricing teams, IT, and offshore delivery units to gather, analyze, and translate business needs into detailed CPQ requirements.
- Lead requirements workshops, discovery sessions, fit-gap analysis, process walkthroughs, and conference room pilots for Oracle CPQ Cloud and Quote-to-Cash transformation initiatives.
- Document comprehensive business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices aligned with Oracle CPQ capabilities.
- Analyze current and future Quote-to-Cash processes, including lead-to-quote, quote-to-order, pricing governance, approval workflows, renewals, amendments, and contract flows.
- Provide functional guidance on CPQ product model design, configuration rules, pricing rules, quote layouts, approval processes, document outputs, and user experience from a business perspective.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure configurations and customizations meet business requirements and functional design specifications.
- Support integration discussions with Salesforce, Oracle Sales Cloud, Oracle Fusion, ERP, CRM, and other downstream systems by defining data flows, functional touchpoints, and validation rules.
- Facilitate business review sessions, obtain sign-offs on functional designs,
and conduct solution walkthroughs and validation sessions with stakeholders.
- Support testing phases including SIT, UAT, and regression testing by defining test scenarios, reviewing scripts, and managing defect triage.
- Assist in user training, super-user enablement, SOP documentation, and post-go-live support to ensure smooth adoption of the solution.
- Analyze change requests, assess their impact on existing processes, and support prioritization, effort estimation, and release planning.
- Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams to ensure timely delivery of functional deliverables and resolution of open issues.
- Prepare and deliver demonstrations, process walkthroughs, and validation sessions for clients and leadership teams.
- Maintain strong communication channels, stakeholder engagement, and facilitate collaboration across diverse teams.
