Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Branch Manager – Retail Banking role based in Anthiyur.

The Branch

Manager will oversee day-to-day branch operations, including managing customer service, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves driving branch business growth through acquisition of new customers, deepening relationships with existing customers, and promoting savings, deposits, and retail loan products.

Manager will monitor branch performance, manage budgets and targets, and implement local marketing initiatives and outreach activities aligned with the bank’s financial inclusion goals.



The role also requires maintaining solid risk management practices, ensuring accurate documentation, and fostering a positive, ethical, and performance-driven work culture at the branch.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong retail banking and branch operations skills, including customer service management, cash and vault management, and day-to-day transaction oversight.
- Candidates should possess business development and sales skills, with experience in cross-selling savings, deposits, and loan products, and achieving branch revenue and growth targets.
- Candidates should possess team leadership and people management skills, including mentoring staff, performance management, and building an inclusive, collaborative branch environment.
- Candidates should possess risk management and compliance skills, with familiarity in regulatory guidelines, KYC/AML norms, and internal audit and documentation standards.
- Candidates should possess digital and analytical skills, including comfort with core banking systems, digital banking platforms, and the ability to analyze branch performance metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or professional banking certification is an advantage.
- Prior experience in retail banking or financial services, preferably in a branch leadership or supervisory role, is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, local language proficiency, and familiarity with the Anthiyur region or similar markets will be an added advantage.
