About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant / Bookkeeper to manage the financial records of our US entities, which include multiple related companies. This role offers a unique growth pathway to a team lead position, providing opportunities for leadership and expanded responsibilities as our organization scales.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and compliant financial records, ensuring timely and precise month-end closes, and supporting our interactions with external auditors and tax authorities. This is a remote-first position based in Ahmedabad, with an initial focus on establishing robust accounting processes and standards across our entities. The role requires a proactive individual capable of identifying discrepancies early, implementing process improvements, and eventually overseeing a small finance team.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping or accounting,



specifically for US-based clients or entities. Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is essential, along with a solid understanding of US GAAP and small-business accounting practices.

Candidates should have experience managing multi-entity structures, including intercompany transactions and reconciliations. Relevant educational qualifications include CA, CA Inter (semi-qualified), CMA, or a B.Com/M.Com with equivalent practical experience, with a focus on US client experience being prioritized. Strong written communication skills in English, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently are critical.

Familiarity with workflow tools such as Bill.com, Gusto, or Ramp, payroll processing, and US-specific tax considerations are advantageous.

Responsibilities

- Managing full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple related entities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Recording and maintaining intercompany transactions, ensuring due-to/due-from balances are accurate, reconciled, and well-documented.
- Executing bill payments through our approval workflow, preparing and coding expenses, and obtaining necessary approvals from founders.
- Tracking receivables,



following up on overdue accounts, and managing collections.
- Preparing month-end financial statements for each entity, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Identifying and flagging discrepancies, miscodings, missing documentation, or unbalanced accounts, and communicating issues proactively.
- Coordinating with US CPA firms during month-end close and year-end processes.
- Developing and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs), standardizing chart of accounts across entities, and training junior support staff as needed.
