Role Description The BIM Coordinator role at Dunbar & Boardman (UK) is a full-time position based in Chennai with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility. The BIM Coordinator will manage and coordinate Building Information Models for vertical transportation and façade access projects, ensuring that architectural, structural, and MEP information is accurate, consistent, and aligned with project requirements.

Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up and maintaining BIM standards, federating models from multiple disciplines,



conducting clash detection, and supporting project teams with model-based design reviews. The role involves close coordination with architects, engineers, project managers, and external partners, as well as the preparation of BIM documentation, workflows, and project deliverables. The BIM Coordinator will also help drive continuous improvement in BIM processes, support training and onboarding for team members, and contribute to quality assurance across projects.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in BIM Coordination and Building Information Modeling (BIM), including managing federated models and ensuring data integrity.
- Experience and foundational knowledge in Architecture and related building design disciplines, with an understanding of vertical transportation and façade access contexts.
- Familiarity with Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) coordination within BIM environments, including clash detection and interdisciplinary integration.
- Project Management capabilities to plan, prioritize, and track BIM deliverables across multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Proficiency with common BIM tools and platforms (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 or similar collaboration tools).
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams in a hybrid (Chennai-based) environment.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
