Job Title: BIW Design Engineer – Doors & Structures

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced BIW Design Engineer to join our engineering team, focusing on door and structural design within Body-in-White systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in automotive body architecture, sheet metal design, and cross-functional engineering coordination.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Design and develop BIW components including door inner/outer panels, reinforcements, hinges, checks, latches, and closures
- Perform 3D modeling and create 2D engineering drawings using CATIA V5, NX, or Creo
- Apply knowledge of sheet metal design and manufacturing processes, including stamping, bending, welding, and joining
- Ensure designs meet BIW dimensional and assembly requirements, applying GD&T; and tolerance stack-up principles
- Conduct design feasibility studies incorporating DFM/DFA principles
- Support crash, stiffness, NVH,



and durability requirements in design decisions
- Lead and contribute to DFMEA/FMEA processes
- Manage BOM, drawing releases, and engineering change management (ECM)
- Utilize PLM/PDM systems for design and documentation control
- Conduct design reviews and resolve engineering issues in collaboration with manufacturing, CAE, quality, and supplier teams

Required Skills & Experience

- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in automotive BIW design, specifically doors and structures
- Solid understanding of BIW components, load paths, and vehicle body architecture
- Proficiency in CATIA V5, NX, or Creo
- Working knowledge of materials, thickness selection, and joining methods
- Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems
- Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills

Pay: ₹11,415.74 - ₹80,797.48 per month
