Role Description The Barista and Café Operator is a full-time, in office role based in Mumbai, located within a Powerlook retail environment. This role is responsible for preparing and serving coffee and other beverages, managing basic food prep, and maintaining a clean, welcoming café space for customers. The Barista and Café Operator will handle the café counter, take orders, process payments, and provide attentive, courteous service that supports the overall store experience.

Day-to-day tasks include operating café equipment, following hygiene and safety standards, monitoring inventory of café supplies,



and coordinating with store staff to support customer flow. The role may also involve assisting with simple merchandising around the café area and participating in promotional activities or events tied to the brand.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service skills, including clear communication, a welcoming attitude, and the ability to handle customer queries and feedback.
- Hands-on barista skills such as beverage preparation, basic food handling, and safe operation of coffee machines and related equipment.
- Experience in café or retail operations, including order taking, billing, cash handling, and POS system use.
- Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards, with the ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the café area.
- Time management and multitasking skills to manage peak hours, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate with store teams, support in-store events, and contribute to creating a cohesive brand experience for customers.
- Prior experience in a café, QSR, or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum high school education; vocational training in hospitality or F&B; service is an added advantage.
