Job Summary

Write the services that everything else depends on. Our backend team builds the transaction and integration layer behind client platforms that process a responsible volume of records every day.

You will work in a small team where the person who designs an API is the person who supports it, so the quality of your interfaces comes back to you directly.

Responsibilities

- Spring Boot services covering business logic, integrations and scheduled processing

- Schema design and query performance in MySQL or PostgreSQL

- Third party integrations with payment, ERP and identity providers

- Unit and integration test coverage for everything you write

Requirements

- Three or more years of Java in production, ideally with Spring Boot

- Practical understanding of transactions, indexing and where an ORM stops helping





- Experience debugging something slow rather than only building something new

- Familiarity with message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is welcome

- Clear written communication, because design decisions outlive conversations
