Key Skills & Requirements

1. Azure Cloud Expertise (5+ years) You should have hands-on experience using Azure IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service) like setting up servers, databases, and applications on the Azure platform.

2. Cloud Architecture Knowledge Understand how to design cloud systems that are reliable, secure, and cost-effective.

3. Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) Use Terraform scripts to automatically create and manage Azure resources instead of doing it manually this ensures consistency and speed.

4. Programming/Scripting (PowerShell or Python) Automate repetitive cloud operations such as server setup, updates, or backups.

5. DevOps Tools (Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Git) Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and updates.

6. Hybrid Cloud Networking Connect on-premises systems (physical company servers) with the Azure cloud using tools like ExpressRoute for private connections.

7. Monitoring & Logging Use tools like Azure Monitor, Grafana, AppDynamics, Dynatrace to track system health, performance, and errors.

8. OS Administration (Windows & Linux) Manage and patch both Windows and Linux servers hosted in Azure.

9. Azure AD, Networking, Firewalls Handle identity and access management, network configuration,



and security controls in the cloud.

10. PKI & Security Understand digital certificates, encryption, and authentication protocols to keep systems secure.

11. Certifications Azure certifications like Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Developer Associate are preferred — they show validated expertise.

Responsibilities

1. Setup & Manage Azure Setting Create and maintain cloud systems — ensuring they’re configured, monitored, and secured.

2. Design Scalable Solutions Build cloud solutions that can work across regions and handle large-scale usage.

3. Migrate from On-Premises to Cloud Move existing infrastructure from company servers to Azure.

4. Security & Access Control Manage who can access what, ensuring compliance and data protection.

5. Implement Backup & Recovery Policies Protect data and ensure systems can recover from failures.

6. OS Patching Keep all cloud-based servers up to date with the latest security patches.

7. Performance Optimization Continuously monitor and fine-tune systems for better speed, cost, and reliability.
