This is a senior Data Architect who can design the complete data platform architecture, especially cloud + Databricks, and also guide engineering teams during implementation.

They need a Senior Data Architect / Principal Data Engineer-level person with 10+ years of IT experience, who has strong experience designing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms.

The person should not be only a theoretical architect. They need someone who can:

- Understand the business requirement
- Design the end-to-end data architecture
- Decide which technologies should be used
- Create architecture/design solutions
- Guide Data Engineers and development teams
- Participate in architecture reviews
- Ensure security, governance and data quality
- Stay involved until the solution goes into production





Databricks + AWS/Azure/GCP is the most important technical combination. "We are looking for a Senior Data Architect with 10+ years of IT experience and at least 4 years in Data Architecture or Principal Data Engineering. The key requirement is robust experience designing large-scale cloud data platforms using Databricks, preferably on AWS, Azure or GCP. The candidate should be strong in data modelling, data lakes, data warehouses, relational and NoSQL databases, governance and security.

This is not just a documentation role—the architect will own end-to-end architecture, work closely with engineering and business teams, participate in Architecture Review Boards and provide technical leadership through implementation. Financial services or pensions experience, SaaS/product experience, MLOps and GenAI are additional advantages."
