Key Responsibilities and objectives critical to success:
- Drive the transformation of client buying power (based on client available collateral) checks from manual, end-of-day processes to real-time, automated solutions across multiple trading platforms and asset classes.
- Gather and analyse complex business requirements from trading desks, credit teams, and execution platforms.
- Analyse current manual buying power calculation processes and design future-state processes for real-time buying power checks across trading platforms.
- Document detailed business specifications for the buying power utility integration. Map data requirements across source systems (Avaloq, LTV systems, execution platforms)
- Scope the Avaloq system: Work closely together with the Product Owner and other functions to ensure right granularity of requirements specification on an epic / story level.
- Translate business needs: Create models, diagrams, presentations, and other documentations that support the target audience to understand the business requirements.
- Facilitate communication at team level to create consensus on scope, design decisions, and implementation decisions.
- Validate requirements, UAT Testing & User training (if required), validate e2e requirements via reviews, walkthroughs, and demo. Write & conduct UAT test cases and in case required, train stakeholders.
- Proactively identify risks/issues that might affect project health.
- Experience in functional analysis in area of Private Banking, Wealth Management; Knowledge and experience of banking business and its operations is a big plus.
- Establish and maintain project management standards, processes, and best practices, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt approach to stakeholder groups and different levels of seniority across the organization as well as ability to present complex problems in a simple way to drive quick and effective decision making.
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
Essential:
- Knowledge of LTV (Loan-to-Value) calculations and concentration risk management. Previous experience with buying power, margin, or credit limit systems.
- Experience with API-based integrations
- Strong understanding of trading operations, client onboarding, and credit management processes
- Strong experience with Avaloq Core Platform (Modules- STEX, Credit, Client Data, MIS reports, Stock exchange, and payments); Avaloq certification is a plus.
- Previous experience working within Wealth Management, Wholesale Banking or Asset Management
- Strong understanding of the Wealth Management landscape
- Strong experience in documenting BRDs so that the candidate can contribute to drafting Business Process Change document, Policies & Procedure updates etc. from business operationalization aspect.
- Expertise in conceptual modelling, ability to see the big picture and envision possible solutions and explicit ability to provide concise, precise, and managerial answers to a wide array of business-related topics.
- Previous experience with Jira, Confluence, Power BI, or similar tools
- Ability to work under limited supervision (‘self-starter’) in unstructured environments.
- Intellectual strength / flexibility to rapidly understand complex problems and rationalize these into a workable solution which can then be delivered.
- High level of drive, commitment to achieving solutions and ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with different delivery methodologies (particularly Agile)
- Familiarity experience articulating requirements in the form of Use Case, User Stories
- Experience working with technology teams to deliver complex solutions across multiple business areas, functions, and locations.
